New Stereotaxic Instrument
This stereotaxic apparatus with new design has made new breakthroughs in terms of working
principle, stability and operability, which features as follows:
1. Three dimensional movement and positioning mode of X, Y and Z axes.
The X-Y two-dimensional platform fixes the animal head. The X-Y platform moves in the X and Y
directions through the screw transmission of X and Y axes, and the animal head and body
accordingly move smoothly, so as to locate the X (ML) and Y (AP) two-dimensional coordinate
points in the brain area.
2. More stable performance and longer service life.
The transmission principle of combining screw drive and slide rail rolling is adopted, which is
similar to the rolling forward of the train wheel on the rail, reducing the friction in the
movement, ensure long term stability and smooth operation.
3. Open operation space.
The space above the animal’s head and body is Z-axis only, which makes more space for the
coordinated use of other instruments and equipment and manual operation.
Large Animal Stereotaxic Instrument
Use for monkeys, dogs, pigs and other large animals. Multiple patented technologies are developed and make the instrument has the advantages of accurate positioning, smooth movement, firmness and operation comfort. The
excellent features are as shown:
- Movement of Y-axis is based on the rolling principle,
which is similar to the rolling forward of the train wheel on the rail,
reducing the friction in the movement, ensure long term stability and smooth operation. - Head fixation adopts the combination functions of ear canal insertion, maxillary support and eyesocket pressing.
- Ear bar adopts screw rod to advance or retreat, with stable and controllable speed. When itreaches the appropriate position, only fastening one screw is required without repeatedly”loosening the screw – pushing / pulling the ear rod – fastening the screw”.
- Forward or backward movement together with two eye socket claws are synchronously designed,plus the rolling structure that makes the operation time-saving and smooth.
- Displacement sensor is optionally added to the Y-axis to achieve the accuracy to 0.01mm.
